Old Mission Wine Tours Night on the Town

Our Night on the Town is a great option for folks looking to really see all the hottest spots in Traverse City. Beer, wine, incredible spaces and the nicest people; this is the tour for people who want to have fun, see the town, and enjoy new places.

It’s an absolute favorite for bachelorette parties, for big groups staying in town for a few days, or for folks that want to make the most of their time in searching out all the big foodie destinations TC has to offer. We’re so lucky to have dozens of top-notch restaurants, breweries, wineries and diners. We’re taking a look at just a few of our favorites. Which places would you add to the list?

By The Tracks

First, we love pizza. And if you’re looking for pizza around here, The Filling Station Microbrewery is the benchmark of quality. Located in Traverse City’s old train depot, The Filling Station boasts a big menu with a heavy emphasis on their pies and great craft beers. With no trains to worry about, it’s a tranquil place to be. Located slightly off the beaten path, it’s a favorite for locals to step away from the business of downtown and enjoy a slightly more relaxed lunch or dinner. It’s one of our driver’s favorite spots, and we think you’ll be pretty excited about it, too.

On The West End

On the west end of Front Street sits the Warehouse District. In just a few years, The Workshop Brewery has established itself as can’t-miss bookend to block after block of delicious choices. It’s a relaxed, inviting place to spend some time, with live music, games and delightful conversation. They also have a big menu of their own beer. Brewed with Michigan ingredients whenever possible, the options are always impressive. There’s a sudsy treat for anyone, and you’re sure to find a new favorite. (We recommend a Cold Chisel, always on tap! )

In The Heart of Midtown

If there’s ever a doubt how much a brewery can do to the livelihood of a community, look no further than Rarebird Brewery. Rarebird has completely changed the look and feel of Lake Avenue. Their German bierhall is warm, expansive and inviting, making it hard to be in anything but a great mood. Much of the decor is reclaimed wood, with giant wooden table tops and a fire-like glow making it feel especially cozy after stepping in out of the cold. Like many Northern Michigan breweries, their selection is wide, tasty and world-class. You really can’t skip a stop at Rarebird. Oh, and a warning. Their fries are addicting. Be careful!
