Traverse City’s live music scene boasts a new venue that offers the beauty of Old Mission Peninsula as a backdrop!
Located near the center of Old Mission, Bonobo Winery has quickly grown into a staple stop for Old Mission Tours and wine lovers from all over. Their diverse and quirky offerings are always a treat, and they’ve only become more impressive as the vines have matured. But beyond the palate is the place!
The winery sits perched near their friends and neighbors at Chateau Grand Traverse, both near the highest point of the peninsula. The views are so incredible that Center Road offers a large scenic stop to soak in row after row of vines overlooking West Bay.
And it’s that view that serves as the backdrop for Bonobo’s line-up of live music. They’ve established a great mix of local musicians that pair well with the charming tasting room and views of the vines and water. From Oh Brother Big Sister to The Hacky Turtles and plenty more, there’s always some pleasing sounds to serve as the soundtrack to your stay.
With weeknight Happy Hours running from 5-7pm, locals love making the scenic drive to Bonobo for the shows. The vineyard’s website has a full list of events for October available here. There’s certainly a date you’ll want to circle, too! On October 27, The Hackey Turtles are back for the Halloween Costume Part from 6-8pm. Prizes, live music, and delicious wine, it’s such a fun way to get into the spooky spirit!
